Tishaa Kumar’s Mother Tanya Remembers Her On 21st Birth Anniversary: 'It’s Wrong Narrative There Was No Prolonged Battle'

On September 6, her mother, Tanya Singh shared an emotional video tribute along with a heartfelt note, marking what would have been Tishaa's 21st birthday.

In her Instagram post, Tanya compiled a series of photos capturing Tishaa’s life, from her childhood up until earlier this year. Some of the images were marked with the years they were taken. The collection also featured moments from Tishaa’s 20th birthday celebrations and touching clips of her dancing and spending time with her beloved pet earlier this year.

Tanya’s wrote: " My dearest darling Tish ..Happy 21st ⚡️ 21 years ago today, you came into my life ,and ever since you filled it with joy, bliss, laughter, happiness, celebrations & unconditional Love❤️ Thank you my doll for giving me the ‘honour’ of being your Muma✨ I am and always am your mom and you my most precious, pure, beautiful inside-out, generous, caring, loving and full of life.. my one and only, you are the ‘Sun to my Cosmos’, the best daughter in the world.”
Tanya dismissed the "prolonged battle narrative"
In her note, Tanya addressed the "narrative” around her daughter’s death. She wrote, "Though it was not meant to turn out this way, You are the strongest, bravest, coolest, always showering your light & love, night or day. We both know it’s the wrong ‘narrative’ there was no ‘prolonged battle’."

She concluded, “Missing you in every breath I take my baby, remembering all the trillions of beautiful moments since you were born….you are 100 kids in one for me …. Until we reunite ⚡️❤️ Muma loves you forever and more.”
This marked Tanya’s first public statement since Tishaa’s passing, challenging the media reports that had described her daughter’s illness as a “prolonged battle” with cancer. It had been reported that Tishaa succumbed to cancer after undergoing treatment in Germany.
