Actor Shine Tom Chacko Jumps Out of Hotel Window to Escape Police During Drug Raid

Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko has once again found himself at the center of controversy. Recently acquitted in a 2015 drug case involving six others, the actor is now making headlines after reportedly escaping from a hotel window during a police raid linked to suspected drug use.
Hotel Raid and Escape Incident
On Wednesday, Shine Tom Chacko was seen fleeing from a hotel in North Ernakulam during a late-night police raid. A CCTV video from the hotel has since gone viral on social media, with Mathrubhumi News also confirming Shine’s presence at the scene and broadcasting the footage.
According to reports, Shine was staying on the third floor of the hotel and escaped through a window upon spotting police officers. The CCTV footage captures the actor and two others jumping from the third to the second floor and then into a swimming pool, before making their way down the stairs. However, when the room was searched, no narcotic substances were found.
An Indian Express report suggests that police suspect Shine may have been tipped off about the raid. As of now, Shine Tom Chacko is absconding and efforts are ongoing to locate him.
Vincy Aloshious’ Complaint Against Shine Tom Chacko
This incident comes close on the heels of another controversy involving Shine Tom Chacko. Actor Vincy Aloshious recently filed a complaint with the Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce and the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), alleging inappropriate behaviour by a co-star suspected of drug use during a film shoot.
Initially, Vincy refrained from naming the actor in her social media post, but later confirmed that it was Shine Tom Chacko. Vincy accused Shine of drug use on the sets of their upcoming film ‘Soothravakyam’, and mentioned being encouraged to file a formal complaint.
Industry and Legal Action
Following these developments, the Film Chamber is scheduled to hold a meeting on Monday to review the incident and address the concerns raised by Vincy Aloshious. Meanwhile, the Kochi Excise Department has also begun investigating the claims made by the actress regarding Shine’s alleged drug use.
As both controversies gather attention, Shine Tom Chacko remains under scrutiny from both the film fraternity and law enforcement authorities.
