Seema Sajdeh Talks About Divorce From Sohail Khan And Why Cheating Isn't A 'Deal-Breaker'

Seema Sajdeh shared her thoughts on her divorce from Bollywood actor Sohail Khan, with whom she was married from 1998 to 2022.

New Delhi: Seema Sajdeh discussed the growth that took place in her after her split from Bollywood star Sohail Khan in a frank interview. Their marriage lasted for more than twenty years, from 1998 until their divorce in 2022. Seema spoke about the difficulties of adjusting to life after the divorce and how she learnt a lot about herself as a result.

Seema said that she made the mistake that many do when their marriage is troubled: she first blamed him for their problems. She shared in an interview with Janice Sequeira, "In a marriage, it’s easy to become complacent and start blaming the partner for everything."
 
She explained, "I realised I had become very dependent, and after the divorce, I had to handle many things on my own, including sorting out health insurance."

While talking about how their family's frequent disputes impacted them, Seema said that their children were also affected by the stress at home. "When you’re in a marriage where you’re constantly bickering and at each other, you’re not giving your 100% to your kids also. They’re losing out," she said. 

Infidelity and Deal-Breakers

Seema addressed the subject of infidelity and made it clear that it wasn't something that could break her heart. The 'Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives' star said, “I’m saying honestly, an affair is not a deal-breaker. We are human. You grow from it. And it also depends on what type of affair it was. Even if you’re thinking about someone, you’ve anyway cheated. The deal-breaker actually is to see how the two of you are going through life. Life is short, live it and be happy. Laughter is the best medicine, and the day you stop laughing together, it’s over.”

Seema and Sohail Khan have two kids together, Nirvan and Yohan. Seema is currently dating her ex-fiancé Vikram Ahuja, whom she broke up with to be with Sohail.
