Ranveer Allahbadia Faces Backlash, Deletes Post Addressed To 'Pakistani Brothers And Sisters'

Ranveer Allahbadia found himself at the center of controversy after sharing an Instagram post addressed to his “Pakistani brothers and sisters” amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan

Popular YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps, found himself at the center of controversy after sharing an Instagram post addressed to his “Pakistani brothers and sisters” amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan. The post, which was later deleted, drew intense backlash from social media users, many of whom accused him of hurting national sentiments and disrespecting the Indian Armed Forces.

What Ranveer Allahbadia posted?

Allahbadia began his now-deleted post by acknowledging the potential backlash it could trigger: "I will get hate from many Indians for this, but it's important to be said. Just like many Indians, I don't have hate in my heart for you. Many of us want peace as well. Whenever we meet Pakistanis, you invariably welcome us with love (sic)."

The timing of his message sparked outrage, as it came shortly after the Indian Army launched Operation Sindoor, a retaliatory mission targeting terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), following the Pahalgam terror attack which killed 26 innocent civilians, including tourists and a foreign national.

In another part of his post, Allahbadia wrote: "Dil se sorry agar lagta hai ki hum nafrat faila rahe hain (I am apologising from the bottom of my heart if you feel we are spreading hate). The Indian who have met Pakistanis, UNDERSTAND you. But, both Indian & Pakistani media (news channels) are currently spreading lies (sic)."

He went on to list three points highlighting Pakistan’s alleged role in harboring terrorists, then added: "But I care about YOU, not them. That's why... (sic)." He concluded with: "This is not: 'Indian People vs Pakistani People'. This is: 'India vs Pakistani Military & ISI'. Hope peace prevails in the long term, Inshallah (sic)," accompanying the message with both Indian and Pakistani flags.

Netizens slam Ranveer Allahbadia

However, the post was met with fierce criticism. One user wrote, "Dil se sorry lag raha hai ki Indians nafrat phaila rahe hain' That's what Ranveer Allahbadia said in his support to Pakistan. The nation was right in bullying this piece of trash (sic)."

Another added, "Shameful. Ranveer Allahbadia aka Beer Biceps openly supports Pakistanis — then quietly deletes his posts after backlash. This is what happens when we blindly support the wrong influencers and make them viral (sic)."

Some critics labeled the message as “hypocrisy,” slamming it as an insult to the Indian armed forces: "This is insulting to our brave armed forces. And on your part, it is Hypocrisy at its peak. Shame on you! (sic)."

India-Pakistan Ceasefire

The controversy unfolded just hours after India and Pakistan announced a ceasefire agreement. On Saturday evening, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri confirmed that both countries’ Directors General of Military Operations (DGMO) had agreed to cease all firing and military activities on land, air, and sea starting 5 PM the same day.

However, within three hours, Pakistan reportedly violated the agreement. Shelling and drone attacks were halted overnight.
