In his latest vlog, Rajeev addressed widespread assumptions that he enjoys a lavish lifestyle solely because of his famous family especially his sister Sushmita.

Rajiv Sen says he has successful jewellery business

Rajiv acknowledged the privilege of being born into a supportive environment, but firmly clarified that his success hasn’t come without effort. “I have had a successful jewellery business for a long time. Yes, I am fortunate that a lot of it was given to me because it was my company, it was my parents’ company. A lot of it was handed to me on a plate, but even in that scenario, I had to prove myself–that I can sell jewellery,” he shared.

Adding that acting, production, and YouTube came later as passion projects, Rajeev said, “This is just a passion project that I can afford to give time to because I have other ventures. I am a successful investor. I have earned a lot of money on my own and I am very proud of that fact.”

Rajeev on assumptions of riding on family wealth

Rajeev also responded to questions about staying with his mother, making it clear that he’s not dependent, but simply values his bond with her.“If my mother ever asked me to leave the house, I would do so and be on the street,” he said bluntly.

Saving the strongest words for last, Rajeev delivered a sharp message to those criticising him for allegedly riding on family wealth. “Just assume for a moment that I am living a luxurious life, that my mum is signing cheques for me every month, my dad is giving me money, my sister is giving me cheques and telling me to enjoy life–even if that’s true, what is your problem? You people don’t even have the worth of Rs 10,” he said.

Rajeev on ex-wife and daughter

Addressing allegations about not supporting his ex-wife and daughter financially, Rajeev remained firm in keeping that chapter private. “It is my personal life. I am Rajeev Sen and I don’t think I need to clarify all this to anybody,” he said.

Rajeev Sen was earlier married to TV actress Charu Asopa, with whom he shares a daughter, Ziana. The couple, often in the spotlight for their turbulent relationship, parted ways in 2023 and are now co-parenting separately.
