New Delhi: The spotlight at the moment is on the soon-to-wed pair, Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha. The couple are set to tie the knot this week in a magnificent ceremony at the Taj Lake in Udaipur on September 24. Raghav and Parineeti made headlines after they got engaged on May 13 in Delhi.
Parineeti and Raghav got engaged a few months ago. On May 13, in the presence of their loved ones, the couple exchanged rings at Kapurthala House in New Delhi. Raghav and Parineeti had kept their relationship private before to their engagement. Before they started dating, Parineeti and Raghav apparently knew each other for several years.
Their wedding card was also recently leaked online. The pair will be hosting a 'A Pearl White Indian Wedding' at The Leela Palace during the day, according to the invitation. It will be followed by a celebration themed "A Night of Amore" at The Leela Palace's Courtyard. A welcome lunch and a '90's Edition' celebration will be held at The Leela Palace the day before. Recently, Parineeti and Raghav were spotted in the first photos from one of her several pre-wedding festivities. Photos from her ardas ceremony went viral.
The couple threw a Sufi night for their close friends and family members on Wednesday. Parineeti Chopra's cousin Priyanka did not attend, but her mother Madhu Chopra and brother Siddharth made an appearance at Raghav's apartment in Delhi. The pair sought blessings at a Gurudwara in New Delhi before the musical night during which they participated in Ardas and Kirtan.
Many politicians, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, are likely to attend the wedding reception in Delhi. Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti's cousin and actor, had flown to India for a day to attend the celebration and conduct the ceremonies as an elder sister. She is expected to attend the wedding along with many other celebs from Bollywood.
