Netizen Claims Vidya Balan's Weight Loss Journey Through THIS Brand Is A Scam, Calls The Company A 'Red Flag'

Vidya Balan, who has earlier claimed of being body shamed and removal from films due to her weight, recently opened up about her weight loss journey.

Vidya Balan, who has earlier claimed of being body shamed and removal from films due to her weight, recently opened up about her weight loss journey. In a recent interview with Galatta India, Balan opened up about her transformative weight loss experience, offering an honest perspective on societal judgments and the emotional toll they inflict.

Balan revealed how the pressure to conform to certain body standards deeply affected her self-esteem. “People used to call me fat, and that would hurt my self-esteem,” she acknowledged. The real turning point came when she consulted a nutritional group in Chennai that identified chronic inflammation—not fat—as the underlying issue. “They said, ‘It is just inflammation; it is not fat,’” she shared, noting that an anti-inflammatory diet brought about significant changes.

Unexpectedly, her weight loss journey did not involve intense exercise routines. “They asked me to stop working out, and everyone’s been telling me, ‘Oh my god, you look your slimmest,’ and I haven’t worked out all year… and I want to say, judgment around the body is brutal… people put on and shed weight for serious reasons because our bodies express what we’re going through emotionally also,” Balan added.

Social Media User calls Amura Health fake

While everyone is appreciating Vidya's weight loss journey, a social media user named Dharmesh, took to his X handle to share his experience of trying to get in touch with the group mentioned by Vidya in her interview, and declared it as an absolute red flag.

Sharing his experience with Amura Health, the user wrote, "Red Flag 1, It started with a WhatsApp message on October 31st where I requested them to book a consultation. And they promised to get back with a process but ghosted me for 10 days. After 10 days I followed up with them again and they told me their team will get back."

He further continued, "Now I got a message from a different number where they sent me a really long message which I had to digest and pay the money. TLDR - Pay Rs.4000 for two doctor consultations, get analysed and then get into the program which costs (36K/54K) The program boasts personalised and customised care with daily follow ups from nutritionists and doctors. I made the payment."
