New Delhi: Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of the greatest talents in Indian cinema. The highly esteemed talent of Indian cinema has etched a delible mark on the hearts of audiences with his top-rated performance. Since he never fails to impress us with his high volume of craft with every project he appears in, it is hard to distinguish his best performance.
While Nawazuddin has given the fans and the audiences several memorable and distinctive characters his character of Faisal in Gangs of Wasseypur 2 and Ganesh Gaitonde in Sacred Games Season 1 and 2 stands out as one of his career-best performances, also those characters are almost on similar lines.
These two are among the characters that helped shape Nawazuddin's versatility and also established him as a versatile actor in Indian Cinema. Despite not having fear of getting type casted for doing similar characters in both, Nawazuddin Siddiqui came forward and spoke about it at the NFDC, Film Bazaar at International Film Festival of India in Goa.
"I didn't want to do Sacred Games because I thought I had played a similar character in Gangs of Wasseypur. However, Anurag Kashyap convinced me that this character will have more layers and will be deeper. While doing this role, I realized the true meaning of versatility. I understood that playing similar roles doesn't mean typecasting, but portraying different roles in a similar manner.”
