The actor mistakenly responded to a compliment on X (formerly Twitter), thinking it came from Pakistani star Hania Aamir. However, the praise was actually from a fan account impersonating the actress. 

On Wednesday, a fan account dedicated to Hania Aamir posted a compliment for Mrunal. The tweet read, “I may be emotional, but for me, @mrunal0801 is the best actor of this generation. She is unparalleled. I don't see any other actress as versatile as her in India (sic).”

Due to the account’s verified blue tick, Mrunal mistook it for Hania’s official profile and replied warmly, “Hania, you made my day. Thank you so much, my dear.”

What followed was a wave of online laughter, as users pointed out the mix-up. Many teased Mrunal about the slip-up, with one person commenting, “That’s not the real ID.” Another joked, “Thanking a parody account? Time to fire your PR team.” However, the actor took the incident in stride, showcasing her sense of humour. 

When one user offered to help her manage her X account more effectively, Mrunal cheekily replied, “Hahahaha, so sweet. I’m my team!”
