Moushumi Chatterjee Calls Herself 'Better Than Jaya Bachchan' In Front Of Paps - Watch Video

Veteran actress Moushumi Chatterjee's candid remark on Jaya Bachchan's paparazzi interaction sparks discussion on the internet.

New Delhi: At the recent Critics Choice Awards held in Mumbai, veteran actress Moushumi Chatterjee graced the event alongside other famous personalities from the film industry. However, amidst the glittering affair, a video circulating on social media captured a moment of subtle criticism by Moushumi Chatterjee aimed at Jaya Bachchan's interaction with the paparazzi. 

During a paparazzi session, Moushumi Chatterjee remarked, "Agar aap log nahi hote toh humara kya hota (What would have happened to us if you guys were not there?)," indirectly drawing comparisons to Bachchan's recent interactions with photographers.

For the unversed, Jaya Bachchan is known for her arrogant and subtle responses towards paparazzi. Moushumi shot a glance at the paparazzi and said "I am much better person than Jaya Bachchan."

With more and more people talking about how celebrities engage with paparazzi, Moushumi’s candid remarks sparked a lot of heated debates online.

Addressing Jaya Bachchan’s stance on paparazzi, Shweta Bachchan revealed on an episode of Koffee With Karan, "She gets very claustrophobic when there are too many people around her. She also doesn't like it when people take her pictures without asking her. She comes from that school of thought."

In a surprising anecdote, Moushumi Chatterjee disclosed last year in an interview that she was replaced by Jaya Bachchan in the Gulzar-directed film 'Koshish' (1972) after shooting for three days. Recounting the incident, Chatterjee shared, "I shot for three days, and I could see what manipulations were done... I got triggered, and I said, ‘Then take them."

Meanwhile, Moushumi was last seen in Shoojit Sircar’s acclaimed 2015 film 'Piku'.
