Himanshi Khurana Opens Up About Her Weight Loss Journey: 'Zyada Gym Nahi Kia...'

Punjabi actor and model Himanshi Khurana recently opened  up about her fitness journey and the physical transformation she underwent by losing 11 kgs and helping her body heal from medical issues.

New Delhi: Punjabi actor and model Himanshi Khurana recently opened  up about her fitness journey and the physical transformation she underwent by losing 11 kgs and helping her body heal from several medical issues.  At ABP Live’s Health Conclave Punjab 2024, Himanshi spoke about her health, physical transformation, weight loss journey and more.

When Himanshi was asked about her physical transformation, she opened up, saying "Main jitna gym karta thi shayd hi koi kr payega. Vaccine ke baad humare body mein boht changes aye hai jiske bare mein hume itne awareness nahi thi.( I ued to go to gym so much that it is not possible for any regular person. After the COVID-19 vaccine, several changes happened in our bodies, most of which, we are unaware of) I used to cry alot looking at my body, “ adding that she would even cover her body because of the fat-shaming that went on social media for quite some time.

Himanshi revealed that after she met a doctor in Chandigarh, her life changed. Sharing that most of the body-shaming happens in the mind, and if you are not happy in your mindspace, things will always be wrong.

Himanshi Khurana’s diet & weight loss plan

The ‘Sadda Haq’ actress shares how her transformation came along . "Koi maine zyada gym nhi kia, simple ghar ka khana, ghee aur paratha everyday, bahr ka khana nahi khaya and workout only twice a week."( I stopped doing a lot of gym, I ate simple homemade food, ghee and paratha everyday, no food from outside and work out only twice a week)

Himanshi shared that with this simple-diet and a healthy mental space, she was able to shed 11 Kgs and also get rid of some of her long-standing health issues.

The ‘Bigg Boss 13’ fame also had a piece of advice for young women out there who suffer from similar issues when it comes to weight loss and physical transformation. 

Advice for young women to lose weight

Himanshi Khurana said that it is only with a healthy mind that fat loss can happen. She also added that weight loss should not happen in an unhealthy manner because then it tends to come back, so consistency is more important. 

Galti yahi hai weight loss pe zyada pressure de rahe hai bajaye healthy body and healthy mind ke, voh bhi important hai, weight kam karne motive gai to wapis aa jayega..."(The problem is that weight loss has become such a pressure for us that we forget the importance of a healthy mind first. If we lose weight in an unhealty manner, it always tends to come back), Khurana added.
