At Cannes 2024, Aishwarya stunned the audience by appearing with a cast slung across her arm. On Monday, she also came out to vote for the general election in Maharashtra while holding a sling on her arm. Aishwarya has been mum about her injuries, but the details of how she hurt herself were revealed in a media portal.
What Happened to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's Arm?
Mid-Day reports that Aishwarya fell in her Mumbai home on May 11. Reportedly, the actress broke her wrist in a tumble. She opted to finish her job responsibilities when the swelling in her wrist decreased, according to the report. She is scheduled to have surgery as soon as the physicians give their approval.
According to a source who spoke with Mid-Day, “Two days after her fall, she did her costume fittings with her designers and only requested that they ensure that the venue was spacious and comfortable so that she could avoid another injury. The brand was thankful and appreciative that she met her share of the deal despite being in pain.”
The source added, “Her doctors had stated that she could undergo surgery after the swelling had subsided, and had granted permission to travel for the festival. She is likely to be seen in a splint for a month, and will subsequently undergo physiotherapy to regain her strength.”
