According to The Indian Express, concerned locals first noticed the actress aimlessly walking along the Bardhaman-Arambagh state highway. Dressed in a pair of shorts and a black full-sleeved shirt, she was reportedly seen sitting by the road with a pen and paper in hand, speaking erratically in a mix of Bengali and English.

Following multiple calls from locals, police arrived at the scene and were able to identify her. She was then taken into care and shifted to a local shelter home for her safety and wellbeing.

“Choudhury, who was spotted wandering along the Bardhaman-Arambagh state highway, has been sent to a shelter home and efforts are on to trace her family,” said Abhishek Mandal, Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Bardhaman Sadar South, as quoted by The Indian Express. Mandal also confirmed that authorities had alerted the Behala police station in Kolkata, where the actress reportedly resides.
