Alia Bhatt Supports Deepika Padukone As Trolls Shame 'Pathaan' Actress For Her Baby Bump

Deepika Padukone has been the target of trolls for her pregnancy and her baby bump. In response, her fellow actress Alia Bhatt has come out in strong support of the ‘Pathaan’ star

New Delhi: Deepika Padukone has faced immense negativity on social media since announcing her pregnancy earlier this year. In response, her fellow actress Alia Bhatt has come out in strong support of the ‘Pathaan’ star, reacting sharply to the trolls shaming the mom-to-be.

Deepika Padukone gets trolled

Deepika is expecting her first child with actor-husband Ranveer Singh. On May 20, she stepped out to cast her vote in the fifth phase of the Mumbai Lok Sabha Election 2024. However, a section of netizens trolled her, making nasty comments about her body and even calling her baby bump “fake.”

Amid the ongoing trolling, senior journalist Faye D’Souza penned a strongly-worded post on her official Instagram account, showing solidarity with Deepika.

In her post, Faye wrote, “Dear social media, Deepika Padukone stepped out to do her democratic duty and vote. She did not ask for your feedback on her body or her pregnancy. You have no right to comment on any aspect of her life. Stop it. Behave.”
