Ajaz Khan's Phone Switched Off, Untraceable After Rape Case: Mumbai Police

Actor Ajaz Khan is currently untraceable following the registration of a rape case against him, Mumbai Police said on Monday.

Actor Ajaz Khan is currently untraceable following the registration of a rape case against him, Mumbai Police said on Monday. The actor’s phone has reportedly remained switched off, and police have been unable to contact or locate him since an FIR was lodged at the Charkop Police Station based on a complaint filed by a woman, reportedly an actress, who has accused him of rape and sexual assault.

Ajaz Khan's untraceable after rape complaint

According to police sources quoted by ANI, Khan has not been in communication with authorities ever since the complaint was filed. "Case registered at Charkop Police Station against actor Ajaz Khan for allegedly raping an actress. Police tried to contact him after registering the FIR, but his number has been switched off since then. He is not in contact with the Police. The Police reached him, but he was not present there. Police are searching for him," said the Mumbai Police.

The complainant alleged that Khan sexually assaulted her under the pretext of offering her a role in his OTT show House Arrest, and later promised marriage. She claimed that on March 25, Khan raped her at his home, repeating the act several days later while continuing to assure her of marriage. She also stated that Khan told her his religion permits four marriages and vowed to take responsibility for her.

The FIR includes charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections 64, 64(2)(M), 69, and 74, and an active investigation is underway.

In addition to this case, Khan is also entangled in another controversy related to the Ullu app show House Arrest, which he hosted. The Amboli Police have summoned Khan and the owner of the streaming platform after it came under fire for broadcasting obscene content. A video clip from the show recently went viral, showing Khan instructing female contestants to act out sexual positions, drawing backlash from political leaders and the public alike.

The FIR against the Ullu app program was based on a complaint filed by Bajrang Dal activist Gautam Ravriya.
