Saba Pataudi Defends Niece Sara Ali Khan's Performance In 'Ae Watan Mere Watan' After She Gets Trolled For Her Acting

New Delhi: The highly-anticipated historical drama ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ starring Sara Ali Khan in the lead role has made its debut on Amazon Prime Video. The film delves into the inspiring story of Indian freedom fighter Usha Mehta, portrayed by Sara Ali Khan. As the movie hits the streaming platform, fans have wasted no time in sharing their opinions. While some have lauded the film for its portrayal of a significant chapter in Indian history, others have expressed mixed feelings about Sara’s acting.

Despite facing criticism, Sara Ali Khan finds a supporter in her aunt, Saba Pataudi, who took to social media to defend the actress's performance. Praising Sara's portrayal in the film, Saba urged audiences to give the movie a chance.

Saba was quick to notice the comments and wrote, "DON'T judge something until you've seen it FIRST. She's actually brilliant! Mahsha'Allah." In another comment, she showered praise on both the film and her niece, saying, "She's fabulous. Everyone simply nails their part and superb direction. A MUST watch! A true story too…"

Directed by Kannan Iyer, ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ also features Emraan Hashmi in a cameo role as Ram Manohar Lohia.

Prior to ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’, Sara Ali Khan was seen in ‘Murder Mubarak’ on Netflix, where she shared the screen with a stellar ensemble cast including Vijay Varma, Pankaj Tripathi, Karisma Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, and Dimple Kapadia, garnering mixed reviews from audiences.
