'Aamir Khan Sees Everybody Off Individually, And Barefoot': Gippy Grewal On What It's Like To Visit The Actor's House
Gippy Grewal spoke about how Aamir Khan attended the trailer launch of ‘Carry On Jatta 3’ to support him. Sonam Bajwa also said that he saw every guest off individually after the get-together.
New Delhi: Aamir Khan, who was last seen in 'Laal Singh Chaddha', is currently on a sabbatical and spending time with his family. The actor announced about his break during the trailer launch of the Punjabi film ‘Carry On Jatta 3’. The actor made a surprise appearance at the trailer launch of the Gippy Grewal and Sonam Bajwa starrer. After the event, the entire cast and crew were invited to the actor’s house for dinner. Kapil Sharma and his wife Ginni and other cast mummers of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ also attended the get-together.
In a conversation with Lallantop, Gippy Grewal recently spoke about how Aamir attended the trailer launch to support him. Sonam Bajwa also said that Aamir saw every guest off individually after the get-together.
“That’s his style. I’ve never said this, but every time I’ve paid him a visit, he has come down to see me off. And 99% of the time, he does this barefoot. I keep telling him to wear some shoes, but he doesn’t seem to mind. This is at his house, but once I went to visit him at the Marriott in Chandigarh, and he insisted on coming down to see me off again. There was some wedding function happening at the hotel, and there was a huge crowd because of it. I told him that he shouldn’t come down, but he pointed out that they’d recognise me, so how does it matter if they recognise him as well. This time at his house, there were so many people, and he saw each one of them off individually. And he won’t go back upstairs until you’ve left. Everyone wanted to chat with him also, and there was such a line of cars, we thought we’d be stuck there for a long time,” Gippy told Lallantop in Hindi.
At the trailer launch event of 'Carry On Jatta 3', Aamir was asked why he didn't announce a new film after 'Laal Singh Chaddha'. In his response, the actor said he is "feeling good" about spending time with family at the moment.
"I haven't decided to do any film as of now. I want to spend time with my family right now. I'm feeling good about it because that's what I want to do right now. I'll do a film when I'm emotionally ready, for sure," Aamir told reporters.
