'Bad Boy Billionaires: India' Trailer Out! Netflix Docu-Series Highlights Rise And Fall Of Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi & Others

Season 1 of the 'Bad Boy Billionaires: India' will start streaming on Netflix from September 2, 2020.

New Delhi: What would you do to make it to the top? To build an empire? To maintain an image? Well, all these questions will be answered in the upcoming Netflix show 'Bad Boy Billionaires: India'. The OTT platform on Tuesday released the trailer of  the investigative documentary series which showcases the rise and downfall of India's four notorious industrialists who are under scanner of the Government of India for various high-level money laundering and corruption charges. 'Bad Boy Billionaires: India' explores the greed, fraud and corruption that built up - and ultimately brought down - India’s most infamous tycoons - Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi, Subrata Roy and Byrraju Ramalinga Raju. As the official synopsis by Netflix reads, 'Bad Boy Billionaires: India' promises to make the audience "dive into the stories of India’s most infamous billionaires- Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi, Subrata Roy, and Byrraju Ramalinga Raju as they plan, plot and maneuver through their rises and falls. It shares the opinions and experiences of various insiders and experts who discuss "what made these men genius and, in some cases, the greatest con men."

A former Parliamentarian, Vijay Mallya has been a part of many scandals related to financial controversies since the year 2012. The man is in question for borrowing massive sums to expand Kingfisher Airlines but quit the country before repaying loans. Nirav Modi, a wanted man by Indian government as well as Interpol, has been under the scanner for laundering money which he borrowed from public banks. Industrialist Subrata Roy, the managing Chairman of Sahara Indian Pariwar, in being investigated for an elaborate ponzi scheme. Former Chairman of Satyam Computer Services, Byrraju Ramalinga Raju had made to the headlines after his own admission of embezzling funds and falsifying revenues and margins of over Rs 5000 crore".
