Aaliyah Kashyap, the daughter of filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, has posted a new vlog on her YouTube channel, detailing how her boyfriend Shane Gregoire planned his proposal. Aaliyah, a social media influencer, and Shane got engaged earlier this week while vacationing in Bali, and they announced the news on their respective Instagram accounts. Aaliyah praised Shane in her new vlog for secretly planning the entire thing, from ordering her 'dream ring' online to enlisting the assistance of a friend, and even managing to capture the big moment on camera.
Shane vlogged the entire process and stated, "More than anything, I want it to be intimate." It's just me and Aaliyah. I don't want to do anything big or spectacular. That's not my style; I don't believe it's Aaliyah's. I want to keep it super personal, and I need to figure out how to get that filmed because I think it's too special of a moment not to have filmed so we can show our children..."
Shane attached a camera to his scooter, and they drove to a beautiful location because he didn't want anyone filming them. Aaliyah stated that she cried 'for three hours straight' after the proposal and cried again when she watched Shane's secret video. The video shows Aaliyah admiring the sunset before Shane walks up behind her and gets down on one knee. Because the couple decided not to reveal what they said to each other at the moment, the clip plays out silently, with romantic music playing over it. Passers-by recognised what was happening and congratulated them as Aaliyah hugged and kissed Shane.
Aaliyah stated that she would most likely post another video answering fan questions, such as when the wedding will take place. "Or if I'm getting a dowry," Shane jokingly added. Her father, Anurag Kashyap, joked on Instagram that he is 'calculating the number of remakes (he) will have to do to throw a wedding soirée' for Aaliyah and Shane.
