In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, when Anil Kapoor was asked if he switched off his car's AC so that he can sweat, something the interviewer quoted from an old Jackie Shroff interview, Anil said, "Yeh sab bakwas hai. They are all jealous of me. Sab jalte hain yaar.( This is all nonsense. They are all jealous of me)". When Neetu Kapoor counter questioned, "Paseene se kya hota hai?( What is the deal of sweating in the car)", Anil said, " Kuch nahi yaar folklore bana dia hai. Exaggeration hai. ( Nothing, They have created a folklore out of this. It is only an exaggeration)."

Anil Kapoor also spoke about how people keep talking about the hard work he puts into his work. Stating that a thousand actors work harder than him, he also pointed out that in the Hindi film industry, Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh really work hard.

"To be honest with you, there are millions of actors all over the world who work 10,000 times harder than me...I think Ranbir, Ranveer, they put in a lot of work," he added.

In another interview, as part of his ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ promotions interview with Film Companion, Anil also spoke about how he refused to do a role in a major Hollywood franchise film because he did not understand the part.

"The biggest franchise in the world, I can't name it, has been offered to me; but it had just two days of work. So, I read the scene. Ek toh mere ko scene samajh mein nahi aya kya tha. (I did not understand the scene)". Mentioning that even after his friends and the film's director asked him to do it, he refused.

"Ek toh mere ko scene hi samajh nahi aaya (I did not understand the scene), and then if I go wrong that day, I will be exposed all over the planet," he added.
