Akshay Kumar Donates For Construction Of Ram Temple In Ayodhya, Urges Fans To Contribute

New Delhi: Bollywood’s Khiladi Kumar has been in the news for his various donation drives. The actor is known for his contributions not only in the field of cinema, but he is also known for lending a helping hand whenever required.

Recently, Akshay took to his social media and shared a video revealing that he has donated his share for the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The ‘BellBottom’ actor further urged his fans to contribute their share in the construction of the ‘historic, grand temple’.

While sharing the video, he wrote in Hindi, “It is a matter of great pleasure that the construction of our grand temple of Shri Ram has begun in Ayodhya... Now it is our turn to contribute. I have started, hope you will join too. Jai Siyaram”.

Last year on the occasion of Diwali, the ‘Atrangi Re’ actor shared the first look from his upcoming movie ‘Ram Setu’ where the ‘Rustom’ actor can be seen as a traveller wearing cargo pants, a shirt and a small bag hanging around his shoulder. Akshay can be seen sporting the long hair look and has an orange scarf tied around his neck. The actor revealed that ‘Ram Setu’ is a humble attempt to know the ideals of Lord Rama and ‘build a bridge to connect generations’.

Directed by Abhishek Sharma, ‘Ram Setu’ has been bankrolled by Aruna Bhatia and Vikram Malhotra. Abhishek Sharma has earlier directed films like ‘Parmanu’, ‘The Zoya factor’, ‘Tere Bin Laden’ and others.

In December last year, Akshay Kumar also met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during his visit to Mumbai and discussed ‘Ram Setu’.
