'Deeply Saddened': Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee Condoles Aindrila Sharma's Death

Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, along with many Tollywood celebrities, has expressed her condolences following the tragic death of actress Aindrila Sharma.

New Delhi: Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee took to Twitter and shared her condolences at the sad demise of Tollywood actress Aindrila. "Deeply saddened at the untimely demise of our young artiste Aindrila Sharma. The talented actress won several accolades including the Tele Samman Award. My deepest condolences to her family, fans & friends. I pray they find the courage in this hour of grief," she wrote in her tweet.

Bengali actress Aindrila Sharma passed away on Sunday, November 20, after suffering multiple cardiac arrests. She was 24 years old. The actress had a stroke and was admitted to the Narayana Superspeciality Hospital on November 1. Her condition kept on deteriorating, and ultimately she succumbed to a massive cardiac arrest.

Aindrila was known to be a cheerful and happy person, therefore the news of her health decline and her inspiring battle against her illness shocked the film and television industries. Prayers and messages in support of Aindrila had been flooding social media, and her partner, actor Sabyasachi Chowdhury was being praised for being by her side throughout and sharing critical updates on her condition.

Sabyasachi had also occasionally urged people to pray for miracles and maintained his optimism. On Saturday, he abruptly erased all of his social media messages regarding Aindrila, signalling that perhaps things were not as they seemed.

On hearing the news of Aindrila's death, her fans were shocked, and they took to Instagram to share their condolences. Apart from her fans, celebrities from the Tollywood industry also expressed their grief.

According to the reports by Times of India, music director Indraadip Das Gupta shared, “Long live Aindrila in our hearts and memories. It’s just a transition for a soul like you to the next level. You are the best.”

Actress Debjani Chatterjee, who worked with Aindrila in a film, said, “I met her on Sasthi in this puja, and she was so much of life. All these days, I used to read about her health reports and used to pray for her like all others. But ultimately, the miracle didn’t happen. Goodbye, fighter! My heart goes out to Sabyasachi and Aindrila’s family. Their love story will be etched in our hearts,” reports The Times of India.

Aindrila had shared her last Instagram post a day before she had the stroke, and it was dedicated to her boyfriend, Sabyasachi Chowdhury. She shared the post with the caption, “My reason to live (written in Bengali) Happy birthday, sabyasachi_3110."
