Madhav Moghe was well-known for his mimicry of veteran actor Sanjeev Kumar. He won a lot of accolades by imitating the actor in many comedy shows and stage shows in the country and abroad.

Mumbai: Madhav Moghe, who has worked as an actor in many films like 'Damini', 'Ghatak', 'Vinashak', 'Partner', 'Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya' and is recognized as a great mimicry artist passed away due to cancer in Mumbai today (July 11, 2021).

Madhav Moghe was well-known for his mimicry of veteran actor Sanjeev Kumar. He won a lot of accolades by imitating the actor in many comedy shows and stage shows in the country and abroad. Mimicry of late Sanjeev Kumar had become his identity and he gained a lot of popularity owing to this. Apart from Sanjeev Kumar, he also used to mimic actors like Utpal Dutta and Rajkumar.

Apart from being an actor and a mimicry artist, Madhav Moghe was also a very good host. He hosted several stage shows in the country and abroad for years with renowned artists. Apart from working in Hindi films and Marathi films, he also worked in many TV shows.

Madhav Moghe’s wife also passed away on June 21 due to kidney-related problems at the age of 68. She was suffering from kidney problems for a long time and was under dialysis.

Madhav Moghe's daughter Prachi Moghe confirmed her father's death to ABP News, “After the death of my mother on June 21, my father got very ill. He stopped eating and drinking and he was feeling very weak. So, after completing the 13^th day ritual of my mother's death, he was admitted to Bombay Hospital for treatment, he was diagnosed with lung cancer. The cancer was in its final stage and there was no hope of survival. The doctors asked to take him home. I brought him back home yesterday and he died at 6.00 am today.”

Sudesh Bhosle, who is also known as a well-known singer and mimicry artist, worked in many stage shows with Madhav Moghe. He told ABP News, “I considered him as my guru. I also learned from him how to do comedy and anchoring. I also learned how to deal with the audience in the middle of the running show if their behaviour is not right. He was a very nice person and was also very upset with the situation arising out of corona and lockdown for the last one and a half years.”
