Aamir Khan To Sign A Multi-Project Deal With Netflix In This Time Of COVID-19?
Netflix India recently announced 17 originals to be released soon in the country. Reportedly, Netflix wants Aamir Khan to produce shows for the OTT platform under his banner – Aamir Khan Films.
Since the commencement of lockdown in the country, many movies have seen a delay in the theatrical release. Movies like ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, ‘Sooryavanshi’, ‘83’ were ready to hit the screens but the enforcement of lockdown in the country halted their release. While many producers are waiting for theatrical release, many are turning towards releasing their movies in OTT platforms. Movies like ‘Laxmmi Bomb’, ‘Shakuntala Devi’, ‘Dil Bechara’, ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’, ‘Sadak 2’ are all set for their OTT release.
However, based on reports, it is being conjectured that Netflix has approached Aamir Khan to produce a movie and three shows under the ‘Dangal’ actors’ production house banner – Aamir Khan Films. The report adds that the OTT giant Netflix is in talks with Aamir Khan for the past six months and wants to collaborate with the actor for a multi-year deal.
Contemplating the current situation of the show business, it will not be a surprise if the deal materialises. There hasn’t been any confirmation on the report from either side till now.
