Karnataka Polls: Huge Crowd Gathers At PM Modi's Roadshow In Mysuru. WATCH

New Delhi: A huge crowd gathered in Mysuru during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s roadshow on Sunday ahead of the Karnataka elections. A large number of people and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) supporters gathered on both sides of the road and greeted the Prime Minister by showering flower petals on him.

PM Modi addressed six public rallies during his campaign tour in poll-bound Karnataka over the last two days.

The Prime Minister, who wore the traditional Mysuru 'Peta' and a saffron shawl, was accompanied by Mysuru MP Pratap Simha, former ministers KS Eshwarappa and SA Ramadas. Eshwarappa recently announced his retirement from electoral politics, while sitting MLA Ramadas was denied ticket to contest in the May elections.

During the entire roadshow, PM Modi was greeted with BJP flags, festoons and the Prime Minister’s posters and cutouts. A cultural troupe of men and women in traditional attire also walked all along the road.

During his two-day visit, PM Modi held public meetings at Humnabad in Bidar district, district headquarter town of Vijayapura, Kudachi in Belagavi district and a roadshow in Bengaluru on Saturday. On Sunday, he addressed election rallies in Kolar, Channapatna in Ramanagara district and Belur in Hassan district.

Earlier in the day, launching a blistering attack on Congress and JD(S), Prime Minister Narendra Modi said both the “dynastic parties” are responsible for political instability in Karnataka and they have always seen the state as an ATM.

“The Congress and the JD(S) are responsible for the instability. They pretend to be two separate parties but are one in their hearts. They are together in Delhi. They assist each other in Parliament,” PM Modi said.

“Both are dynastic parties and encourage corruption. Both the parties see opportunity in instability. For a very long time, Karnataka has seen the drama of unstable government. Unstable governments provide a chance to loot,” he added.
