Veteran Actor & Heeramandi Star Shekhar Suman Joins BJP In Delhi
Veteran actor Shekhar Suman joined the BJP at the party headquarters in Delhi today.
Actor Shekhar Suman, who was recently seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's multi-starrer series 'Heeramandi' joined the Bharatiya Janata Party at the party's headquarters in Delhi on Tuesday, adding to the list of other actors including Kangana Ranaut and Rupali Ganguly, who joined the saffron camp amid the elections. The actor's joining came in as the country is voting for the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections today.

After joining the BJP, the actor said: "Till yesterday I did not know that I would be sitting here today because many things in life happen knowingly or unknowingly. I have come here with a very positive thinking and I would like to thank God that he ordered me to come here."

TV's Anupamaa Fame Rupali Ganguly Joins BJP
Earlier this month, TV serial Anupamaa fame Rupali Ganguly also joined the saffron party on May 1 in an unexpected move. Rupali Ganguly's joining too came days ahead of the third phase which is underway today.

Following her joining, she stated: "...When I see this 'Mahayagya' of development, I feel that I should also take part in this...I need your blessings and support so that whatever I do, I do it right and good.''
Ganguly, who is known to be the most popular TV actor following the success of her show Anupamaa, said: "I am here to walk on the path led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and serve the nation by receiving guidance from Union Home Minister Amit Shah and do something to make the BJP proud."
In March, Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut also announced that she had joined the BJP. The actor also received a saffron ticket from Himachal Pradesh's Mandi, where is spotted campaigning.
