'I Feel Honoured And Elated': Kangana Ranaut On Getting BJP Ticket From Mandi, Himachal Pradesh
Kangana Ranaut took to X and released a statement on formally joining the Bhartiya Janata Party and being fielded from the Mandi constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday released its fifth list of candidates for 16 states for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Kangana Ranaut will contest polls from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh. The actor took to X and released a statement on formally joining the Bhartiya Janata Party and being fielded from the Mandi constituency.
The actor wrote, “My beloved Bharat and Bhartiya Janta’s own party, Bharatiya Janta party ( BJP) has always had my unconditional support, today the national leadership of BJP has announced me as their Loksabha candidate from my birth place Himachal Pradesh, Mandi (constituency) I abide by the high command’s decision on contesting Loksabha polls. I feel honoured and elated to officially join the party. I look forward to be a worthy karyakarta and a reliable public servant. Thanks”

Kangana has always been a vocal supporter of PM Narendra Modi and the BJP government. There have been speculations about her entering politics for long.
Apart from Kangana, actor Arun Govil, who played Ram in popular TV serial Ramayan, will contest from Meerut Lok Sabha seat.

Meanwhile, the actor celebrated her 37th birthday on Saturday (March 23) by visiting Bagalamukhi Temple and Jwala Temple in Himachal Pradesh.
The actor took to Instagram and shared a series of pictures from the temple. The photos show Kangana wearing a multicoloured Punjabi suit, which has hues of maroon, yellow, green and golden.
She wrote in Hindi: "This year also I had a darshan of Maa Shakti on my birthday, after having darshan of the world-famous Bagalamukhi ji, I along with my family also had darshan of Shaktipeeth Jwala ji. In this ancient Shaktipeeth, Maa Sati's Swadhisthana (tongue) had fallen. Since ancient times, the flame is burning here, and no water, no substance can extinguish that flame."

Devotees were astonished to see this divine form of Mother Goddess, and they started singing the praises of Maa Shakti. I used to visit Jwala Devi regularly in my childhood. Today after many years, when Maa has called me, I wished for everyone's happiness and prosperity, Jai Mata Di," she added.
