Uttarakhand Election Results 2022 Key Candidates: Uttarakhand had recorded a voter turnout of 62.5% during the polls. 

Uttarakhand Election Results 2022 Key Candidates: The race for Uttarakhand Assembly will see reach the finishing line today as the counting will begin at 8 am. Polling for 70 seats took place in a single phase on February 14. The hill state has alternatively chosen Congress and BJP since the time it was carved out of Uttar Pradesh in 2002. 

Uttarakhand had recorded a voter turnout of 62.5 per cent during the polls. 

Competition seems to be neck and neck between the Congress and the BJP in the hill state as the ABP News-CVoter Exit Poll had predicted 40.8 per cent vote share for the BJP while for Congress the predicted percentage was 39.3 per cent. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was estimated to secure an 8.7 per cent vote share.

Pushkar Singh Dhami | BJP

Incumbent Chief Minister of the state, Pushkar Singh Dhami is a two-time MLA from Khatima in Udham Singh Nagar district. He is contesting this year’s poll from the same seat.

Harish Singh Rawat | Indian National Congress

A former chief minister and five-time MLA, Harish Singh Rawat is contesting the polls from Lalkuwa seat in the Nainital district. He had contested from two seats in 2017 but couldn't win any. 

Colonel Ajay Singh Kothiyal | AAP

Contesting from Gangotri seat, Colonel Ajay Singh Kothiyal has been projected as the CM candidate by the Aam Aadmi Party.
