Uttarakhand Election Result 2022: Congress Will Bag Complete Majority With 48 Seats, Says Harish Rawat

Rawat said that the Congress party will win a complete majority in the state by bagging close to 48 seats.

Uttarakhand Election Result 2022: Veteran Congress leader and Uttarakhand chief ministerial candidate Harish Rawat has expressed confidence in Congress party returning to power in the state.

While speaking to news agency ANI, Rawat said that the Congress party will win a complete majority in the state by bagging close to 48 seats. Exit polls have shown neck and neck competition between the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party.

"I am confident about the victory of the Congress party in Uttarakhand. Everything will be clear in the next 2-3 hours. I have faith in the people of the state. I believe Congress will get close to 48 seats," said Rawat as quoted by ANI.

Election for the 70-member Uttarakhand assembly was held in a single phase polling on February 14.
