BJP's manifesto 'Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra' may include issues of nationalism, development, good governance, and development of Kashi Mathura, as per the agency sources.

BJP had asked for suggestions from the common people for their manifesto and as per reports, some of the suggestions might be included in the 'Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra'. After Akhilesh Yadav, in his party's manifesto promised to give 300 units of free electricity, it is being said that BJP's manifesto might also include an announcement regarding the outstanding electricity bill.

The crucial polling in the state is scheduled to begin in two days from February 10. It will be conducted in seven phases on February 14, 20, 23, 27, and March 3 and 7. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.

Addressing a virtual rally in Bijnor on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack at Akhilesh Yadav's party. Modi said the water in the river of development was stagnating among “the fake Samajwadis and their close ones.”

“These people never had anything to do with the thirst of the development of common man, the thirst of progress, the thirst of freedom from poverty,” he added, according to ANI.

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath was also present at the Bijnor rally where he asked voters to give a tight slap with their votes to those who spread rumours against the Covid-19 vaccines, according to ANI.

In the 2017 Assembly elections, the BJP had won a landslide victory, winning 312 Assembly seats. The party secured a 39.67 percent vote share in the elections for 403-member Assembly. Samajwadi Party (SP) bagged 47 seats, BSP won 19 while Congress could manage to win only seven seats.

The results will be announced on March 10, 2022.
