The arrest of Jaffer Sadiq by the Narcotics Control Bureau, an expelled DMK office-bearer, has emerged as a potential poll issue. Both the AIADMK and BJP have taken to the streets, indicating their intent to leverage this issue in the pre-election phase.
The DMK, maintaining its formidable alliance with Congress, Left parties, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), MDMK, IUML, and the Kongunadu Makkal Desiya Katchi (KMDK), is eager to secure victory in all 39 Lok Sabha segments in the state and the lone constituency in Puducherry.
