Rahul Gandhi Slams BJP And RSS, Says 'Trying To Destroy Constitution'

This remark came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi lambasted Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge for politicising the constitution in a public rally at Bihar's Gaya.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday slammed Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for trying to "destroy India's constitution", news agency ANI reported. This remark came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi lambasted Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge for politicising the constitution in a public rally at Bihar's Gaya. Rahul further stated that both the grand old party and I.N.D.I.A bloc are trying to save the constitution.

Calling PM Modi an "instrument of 5-6 of India's biggest richest business people," Rahul stated: "His goal is to distract India's people from the real issues. That is why sometimes you will see him doing puja underneath the sea...sometimes he tells the people of India we will bring the Olympics to India. Another time he will say we are going to send one man to the Moon."

Congress MP further stated that PM Modi never talks about key issues such as unemployment, price hike, and others because he wants to  "protects the richest people in the country and thus forgives their bank loans."

Highlighting PM Modi's facial expression in the recent interview with ANI, Congress leader stated: "I don't know if you saw his interview with ANI yesterday. I don't know if you saw his face, his eyes, he was trying to defend the biggest corruption scandal on the planet through which BJP has got thousands of crores of rupees by extorting them from India's businessmen."

In 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Gandhi emerged victorious from the Wayanad seat with 706,367 votes. On the other hand, his closest contendor from the Communist Party of India (CPI), PP Suneer, garnered 274,597 votes.
