'Focus To Cater One Family': PM Modi Attacks Cong As He Launches Multiple Projects In Gujarat

PM Modi Gujarat Visit: PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of multiple development projects in Dwarka on Sunday.

PM Modi In Gujarat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a visit to Gujarat, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of multiple development projects in Dwarka on Sunday.

While addressing the gathering following the launch of projects, PM Modi slammed the previous Congress governments and said that the grand old party only focused on catering to just one family, and they wasted their energy to somehow run the government for five years and hide their corruption.

"The people who ruled India for a long time didn't have the willpower. They didn't have the intention to provide amenities to common citizens. They wasted all their energy to serve one family...They wasted their energy to somehow run govt for five years and hide their corruption. That's the reason, they were able to make India only the 11th largest economy in the world," PM Modi said.

The Prime Minister will also be inaugurating projects of Rs 48,000 crore of different state and Central departments, such as NHAI, Railways, Energy and Petrochemicals, Road and Building, Ports and Health and Family Welfare on Sunday. Of these, projects of Rs 35,700 crore are for Gujarat, while the remaining are for other states.

The Prime Minister will launch key projects, including power generation projects in Kutch, ground-breaking for the new Mundra Panipat crude-oil pipeline project, a new cardiology hospital in Vadodara and doubling of the Rajkot-Surendranagar railway line, among others.

PM Modi took a swipe at the Congress and said that the grand old party could make India's economy only the 11th largest because the it did not have the capacity to fulfil big dreams of the people of a vast nation. The Prime Minister further highlighted that his government's commitment to put an end to all scams has resulted in the country's progress and the creation of grand infrastructure like the longest cable-stayed bridge connecting Beyt Okha and mainland Okha.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi inaugurated Sudarshan Setu, the country’s longest cable-stayed bridge of around 2.32 km, connecting the Okha mainland and Beyt Dwarka in Gujarat, on Sunday.
