No Decision On My Candidature For 2024 Lok Sabha Polls: NCP's Dhananjay Munde
Nationalist Congress Party leader Dhananjay Munde has said that no decision has been made on his candidature for the next year's Lok Sabha elections.
Nationalist Congress Party leader Dhananjay Munde has said that there is no clarity so far over his candidature for Lok Sabha elections next year but he exuded confidence in winning the Beed parliamentary seat in Maharashtra. At present, Bharatiya Janata Party's Pritam Munde, the daughter of late BJP veteran Gopinath Munde and cousin of Dhananjay Munde, is the Lok Sabha member from Beed.
In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly polls, as per PTI, the NCP leader defeated his cousin and Gopinath Munde's daughter Pankaja Munde from Parli seat in Beed district.
While speaking to reporters in Beed on Sunday, Dhananjay Munde said, "For me, Beed Lok Sabha (seat) or Delhi is still very far. First, we have the Lok Sabha and then the state Assembly polls (also due in later half of 2024). We are confident that the NCP will win the Beed Lok Sabha seat."
"But, as far as talks about my candidature, my party has not spoken anything to me," he added.
The NCP leader said that Delhi is 20-25 years away from him. According to PTI, he said the NCP has stood against all odds and made Beed district as its strong "fortress".
