Mining Baron G Janardhana Reddy Likely To Join BJP-Led Alliance For Lok Sabha Elections

Janardhana Reddy said that if an alliance doesn't materialize and his party secures seats, he would extend support to the NDA alliance led by the BJP.

Mining baron and founder of the Kalyan Rajya Pragathi Paksha (KRPP), Gali Janardhana Reddy, expressed his willingness to form an alliance with the BJP ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Additionally, he asserted that if an alliance doesn't materialize and his party secures seats, he would extend support to the NDA alliance led by the BJP.

Addressing media in Koppal on Monday, Reddy said, “Even I wish to see Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of India for the third time. In this background, if BJP wants, I am ready for an alliance.”

During a visit to Keragodu village in Mandya district, Reddy addressed the locals who were protesting the removal of a Hanuman flag by the Congress government. He highlighted that people of all faiths in the village had collectively erected the flagpole and peacefully hoisted the Hanuman flag for years. Reddy blamed the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government for creating a situation that threatened peace in Mandya.

Reddy said, “Due to the incident every villager is in pain and sad. CM Siddaramaiah should come down to the village and hoist the Hanuman flag to pacify them."

"No one can survive if they are opposed to Lord Hanuman. Whole Lanka got burned for torching his tail. CM Siddaramaiah government should repent and act to clear the sins committed in this regard,” he said.

On Sunday, Keragodu village witnessed heightened tension as authorities removed a 'Hanuma dwaja,' a saffron flag adorned with the portrait of Lord Hanuman, from a 108-ft-tall flag post. This event sparked a political confrontation between the government and the opposition in the state. The Leader of the Opposition R Ashoka and other workers were taken into police custody following the protest at the Mysuru Bank Circle in Bengaluru.
