'DNA Of Akhilesh Yadav And Lord Krishna Same': SP Leader's Comment Sparks Row
Ahead of the Milkipur assembly bypoll, Samajwadi Party's Virendra Singh compared BJP to Kauravas and linked Akhilesh Yadav to Lord Krishna. BJP slammed the comment, calling it political opportunism.
Milkipur Assembly Byelection: Ahead of the bypolls in Milkipur Assembly Constituency in Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party leader Virendra Singh has sparked a controversy by dragging Lord Ram and Lord Krishna into the poll arena. In an exclusive interaction with ABP News, the Samajwadi Party MP said the BJP's fight in the Milkipur bypoll was akin to the Kauravs trying to win the Mahabharat war against God using deception.

"Just like the Kauravs tried to win the Mahabharat war using lies and deception... they are doing the same. They can't win. People know this. Voters defeated them [BJP] in Ayodhya [Lok Sabha polls]; people will do the same in Milkipur. Since every Kshatriya is from Lord Ram's lineage, there is no difference in their DNA. Similarly, there is no difference between the DNAs of Lord Krishna and our leader [Akhilesh Yadav]."

The BJP reacted sharply to the comment, saying SP leaders are only electoral Hindus. "The party that wears the badge of shooting Rambhakts [during the Ayodhya movement] as an honour is calling itself Hindu. The Samajwadi Party is now talking about the DNA of Lord Krishna for political gains," said BJP spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi.
