High drama unfolded in Maharashtra's Vasai Virar just a day ahead of the assembly elections. A clash broke out between activists of the Bahujan Vikas Aghadi and the BJP in the presence of BJP leader Vinod Tawde at a meeting in Virar. MLA Hitendra Thakur alleged that Vinod Tawde was distributing Rs 5 crore to BJP workers in the meeting. However, Vinod Tawde has denied these allegations, saying the money was not his.

Shiv Sena UBT leader Priyanka Chaturvedi accused the BJP of trying to win the elections only with the influence of money power. "The work that the Election Commission should have done is being done by the public. She said that the Election Commission should take cognizance of the matter," she said.

The senior leader added, "Our trust in the Election Commission has been broken. Our leaders' bags were checked day and night but nothing was found. At the same time, BJP leader Vinod Tawde's bag was not checked, how is he distributing money."

Tawde Had Made Big Statement About Chief Minister's Face

A few days ago, Tawde had made a big statement regarding the Chief Minister's post in Maharashtra. He had said that the Chief Minister's post would be discussed after the elections.

"There is no question of the Chief Minister being decided on the basis of numbers in the Mahayuti. The Chief Minister will be made keeping in mind the interest of Maharashtra," he had said. Tawde said that there could also be a surprise name for the Chief Minister. Also, Tawde claimed that the Mahayuti will reach 155-160 and form the government. He said that BJP alone will be able to win 95-105 seats.

All 288 seats in Maharashtra will go to polls on November 20 and the votes will be counted on November 23.
