Mandi Lok Sabha Results: Kangana Ranaut Nears Landslide Win With 72K Vote Lead

Mandi Results: The election campaign for the Mandi Lok Sabha seat witnessed a fierce contest between Kangana Ranaut and Vikramaditya Singh. Both candidates drew substantial crowds at their rallies.

Mandi Lok Sabha results live: BJP candidate and acclaimed Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is nearing a landslide win in the Mandi Assembly constituency of Himachal Pradesh. Congress party's Vikramaditya Singh is falling behind BJP candidate Kangana by over 72,000 votes. 

The Mandi Lok Sabha seat saw a high-stakes contest between two prominent candidates. Representing the ruling BJP is acclaimed Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, making her political debut. On the other side, the Congress party has nominated Vikramaditya Singh, son of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, aiming to leverage his political lineage to secure the seat.

The election campaign for Mandi Lok Sabha seat witnessed a fierce contest between Kangana Ranaut and Vikramaditya Singh. Both candidates drew substantial crowds at their rallies, reflecting their competitive presence. Prime Minister Narendra Modi actively campaigned for Kangana, while top Congress leaders rallied in support of Vikramaditya.

Vikramaditya Singh reminded people of the extensive welfare work done by his father, former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, and his mother, MP Pratibha Singh, along with the accomplishments of the Congress state government during its 15-month tenure in Himachal Pradesh.

Kangana Ranaut assured voters of the Modi government's commitment to protecting Sanatan values, emphasizing that no harm would come as long as Modi is in power. She highlighted the Centre's achievements while criticizing the Congress state government's promises. 

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP candidate Ram Swaroop Sharma secured a decisive victory in the Mandi constituency with 638,441 votes, while Congress candidate Ashray Sharma trailed in second place. Despite the substantial margin of victory for the BJP, the seat later shifted to Congress in a by-election, with Pratibha Singh, wife of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, emerging victorious.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP candidate Ram Swaroop Sharma won the Mandi constituency by securing 362,824 votes, accounting for 49.94% of the total votes cast. Congress candidate Pratibha Singh finished in second place in that election.
