PM Modi Asks Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray To Join Ajit, Shinde Instead Of ‘Dying With Congress’

Lok Sabha elections 2024: PM Narendra Modi advised NCP (Sharad Pawar) and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) to join hands with Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde instead of merging with Congress.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, suggested NCP (Sharad Pawar) and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) to join hands with Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde. According to Modi, both parties should abstain from “dying by merging” with the Congress. Prime Minister, while speaking at the rally in Nandurbar district of north Maharashtra, said, “A big leader here who is active for 40-50 years is worried after polling in Baramati (Lok Sabha seat). He says that after June 4, smaller parties, in order to survive, will merge with the Congress,” hinting to Sharad Pawar.

Modi slammed the decision of the “duplicate NCP and Shiv Sena” to merge with Congress, news agency PTI reported. He advised them to join hands with the current Chief Minister of Maharashtra- Eknath Shinde, and added, “But instead of dying by merging with the Congress, come to Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde.”

The BJP has re-elected incumbent MP Heena Gavi, in the Nandurbar seat. The constituency will go to polls on May 13.

‘Congress Conspires To End Hindu Aastha’: PM Modi In Maharashtra

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at the rally, also accused the Congress of conspiring to end “Hindu aastha” (faith). Slamming Rahul Gandhi, Modi said,” The guru of Congress’ 'shehzada' has told the US that Ram temple and Ram Navmi festivities are against the idea of India.”

He also took a jibe at Sam Pitroda, former chairman of the Indian Overseas Congress. Targeting Pitroda, who striked controversy with his “racial” remarks, the BJP leader said, “Congress calls people with Lord Krishna’s colour as Africans. So they didn't want Droupadi Murmu to be the President of India. Isn't it an insult to adivasis?”.

According to the PM, the Congress’ agenda is so dangerous that it terms Ram temple construction and Ram Navami celebrations against the idea of India. He also attacked Congress by saying, “These people organise “sarkari Iftar” and beautify graves of terrorists, he said.

PM also replied to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut’s alleged comment about “burying him in Maharashtra just like Mughal emperor Aurangzeb”. Modi said, “Those from the duplicate Sena are speaking of burying him alive. They have also got a bomb blast accused for election campaigning.”

He, in the rally, also said that the Indian people are his “security cover”. “These people can't bury me alive or dead,” Modi added, as quoted by PTI.

‘Congress Has Opened A Factory Of Lies On Reservation And Constitution’: PM Modi In Maharashtra

BJP’s most prominent star campaigner, Narendra Modi, also said that he wouldn't let an inch of reservation of Dalits, adivasis, and OBCs be taken away on the basis of religion, as providing quota benefits on the basis of religion is against the very values and principles enshrined in our Constitution.

Expressing empathy for the Adivasis and the poor, Modi added, “They had suffered a lot in terms of lack of access to housing, electricity and water even after 60 years of independence. But my government has worked hard to improve their lives.” He again attacked Congress over the same and said that it has no concern for adivasis and did nothing to eradicate sickle cell anemia, prevalent among tribals, as per PTI.

Targeting Congress, he said that they know it cannot match Modi over development and so it has opened a “factory of lies on reservation and Constitution”. He also called it nothing but a ‘chor machaya shor’ (thieves creating noise) situation for Congress.

Moreover, Modi cautioned the people to be aware of Congress’ tricks alleging that they want to replicate its “Karnataka model” across the country by “snatching quotas from SC, ST and OBC” and giving those to their “minority vote banks”.
