Lok Sabha Elections 2019: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its manifesto for the Lok Sabha polls today in New Delhi, ahead of the General Elextions which are scheduled to begin from April 11. Top party leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and its chief Amit Shah, were present at the launch of the manifesto, described by the BJP as its "sankalp patra". The "sankalp patra" or document of promises, that was presented by the Home Minister Rajnath Singh, has been crafted on the theme of a "Sankalpit Bharat - Shashakt Bharat" or "determined India, empowered India". Addressing the gathering, during the release of the BJP’s manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections, Amit Shah said that India reached greater heights under the prime minister Modi.“The BJP manifesto to make 75 promises for 2022 to mark 75 years of India’s independence,” said Amit Shah. Shah added that the BJP government has set an example of how a government should function. Rajnath Singh claimed that the manifesto has objective for building 'New India'. While speaking on nation's security, he said, 'We'll show zero tolerance to terrorism, it will continue till terror is not eliminated completely.'  One nation one election is also part of party manifesto.

• BJP manifesto is divided into 12 parts to make the resolution letter multi-dimensional- 1. Nation First 2. Agriculture and Farmer Welfare - Doubling farmers income 3. India as the World's 3rd Largest Economy 4. Infrastructure - Foundation of New India 5. Healthy India - Determined India 6. Good Governance 7. Yuva Bharat - Tomoorrow's India 8. Education for all 9. Women empowerment 10. Inclusive Development 11. Cultural Heritage 12. Foreign Policy • Farmers > BJP promised 25 crore lakh investment in agriculture sector > BJP promises to give Rs 6000 yearly income support to all farmers, under Kisan Samman Nidhi > BJP to give pension facility to small and marginal farmers after 60 years of age > To provide short-term new agriculture loans up to Rs. 1 lakh at a 0% interest rate for 1-5 years on the condition of prompt repayment of the principal amount • Ram Mandir Rajnath said, "As far as Ram Mandir is concerned, we reiterate the promise made in the last elections. We will weigh all our option & we will try that the Ram Mandir be built as soon as possible in a harmonious environment." • Jammu and Kashmir > Rajnath said, "We reiterate our position since the time of the Jan Sangh to the abrogation of Article 370.We are committed to annulling Article 35A of the Constitution of India as the provision is discriminatory against non-permanent residents and women of Jammu and Kashmir." > He futher said, "We are commied to annulling Article 35A of the Constitution of India as the provision is discriminatory against non-permanent residents and women of Jammu and Kashmir. We believe that Article 35A is an obstacle in the development of the state. We will take all steps to ensure a safe and peaceful environment for all residents of the state. We will make all efforts to ensure the safe return of Kashmiri Pandits and we will provide financial assistance for the resettlement of refugees from West Pakistan, Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK) and Chhamb." • Citizenship Amendment Bill > Government would like to legislate the Citizen's Amendment bill and have it implemented by getting it passed through both the houses of parliament, Rajnath said. > "We will try to reach consensus and will pass this bill. We, however, do not wish to target any cultural or linguistic group. We will preserve the identity of the states", "We have our full commitment on Uniform Civil Code," Rajnath Singh said. • Digitization: All land records to be digitized if BJP-led NDA is voted for second term. • Pakka houses to every family by 2022: The BJP said that by 2022, when India celebrates its 75 years of Independence, the government will ensure a pucca house to every family. It said that the government will launch ‘Jal Jivan Mission’ under which we will introduce a special program, ‘Nal se Jal’ to ensure piped water connection to every household by 2024. • Women's welfare and development According to BJP Manifesto, women's welfare and development will be accorded a high priority at all levels within the government, and the BJP is committed to 33% reservation in parliament and state assemblies through a constitutional amendment. • Education > BJP promises to build 75 new medical colleges > Incease number of seats in management institutes, engineering colleges and law institutes
