Congress Manifesto All About Appeasement, Bans. They Dislike Me Invoking Bajrang Bali: PM Modi In Karnataka

Prime Minister Narendra Modi On Friday addressed a public meeting in Karnataka's Ballari. During the public meeting he said that Congress' manifesto is all about appeasement and bans.

With less than a week left for the crucial Karnataka polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday hit out at Congress saying that the manifesto of the grand old party is all about appeasement and bans. He further said that the people of Karnataka are watching Congress' politics of appeasement. "Congress' manifesto is all about appeasement, it is all about bans. The people of Karnataka are watching their (Congress) politics of appeasement. They dislike me invoking Bajrang Bali," PM Modi said in Ballari, as quoted by the news agency ANI.

Launching a scathing attack on Congress, PM Modi said that the grand old party has worked to corrupt the country's system as well as the country's politics since Independence. He further said that Congress creates false promises on the basis of its ecosystem.

"Ever since independence, the Congress has worked to corrupt the country's systems as well as the country's politics. In the last few years, Congress has created another disease in the politics of India. To win elections, Congress creates false narratives on the basis of its ecosystem, on the basis of money. Congress tries to mislead the public by doing this," PM Modi said in Ballari. He also said, "When Congress ruled Karnataka, their focus was on corruption and not the development of the state."

Continuing his attack on the grand old party during the rally in the poll-bound state, PM Modi said that they never recognised the achievements of the Adivasi community and they are not even willing to acknowledge them. "The Adivasi Community has made immense contributions towards the independence and the development of our nation. The Congress has neither recognised this nor is willing to acknowledge them," PM Modi said.

He also said, "the double-engine government under the leadership of Yeddyurappa ji and Bommai ji got a chance to serve for only three and a half yrs. When Congress govt was here, it gave priority to corruption instead of Karnataka's development. What was the reason for this? Congress' former PM Rajiv Gandhi himself told that his govt sent 100 paise from Delhi, but only 15 paise reached the poor. In a way, he himself accepted that Congress is a party with 85% commission".

The BJP and the Congress are engaged in aggressive campaigning in the state. With the D-day inching closer the BJP has unleased the Modi Blitzkrieg in the state with the Prime Minister holding massive election campaigns.

The Prime Minister will be doing marathon roadshows and rallies in the state in the coming two days on May 6 and 7. The state is set to go to polls on May 10 while the counting of votes will be done on May 13. As per the official schedule, after addressing a public gathering in Tumkur on May 5, he will take a rest at Rajbhavan in Bengaluru.

On the morning of May 6 at 12:30 pm, the Prime Minister will begin his day with a mega 26-Km roadshow in Bengaluru from Someshwara Bhawan (RBI Ground) Kadu to Malleshwara Temple. He will then address two public meetings, one in Badami at 3 pm and another In Haveri at 5 pm.

On Sunday, May 7, PM Modi will do another roadshow in Bengaluru covering 6.1 km from Kempegowda Statue, New Tippasandra to Trinity Circle, MG Road. It was earlier planned to be a 10-Km long roadshow but taking the interest of students who will be appearing in the exam on May 7, the distance has been reduced.
