BJP Moves EC Against Sonia Gandhi Over Her 'Karnataka's Sovereignty' Remark In Hubbali Speech

The BJP has asked the EC to derecognise the Congress party over Sonia Gandhi's 'sovereignty' remark in Karnataka's Hubbali on Saturday.

Karnataka Elections 2023: In yet another complaint against the Congress party to the Election Commission, the BJP has asked the poll body to derecognise the grand old party over Sonia Gandhi's 'sovereignty' remark in Karnataka's Hubbali on Saturday. A delegation of the BJP met EC in Delhi and complained against the Congress MP for talking about Karnataka's 'sovereignty', adding that she is heading the 'tukde-tukde' gang. Party leader Tarun Chugh said that BJP has moved EC demanding derecognition of Congress for using the 'sovereignty' term for Karnataka and sought an apology from her.

Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav told the media, "She (Sonia Gandhi) deliberately used the word sovereignty. Congress manifesto is the agenda of the 'Tukde-Tukde' gang and hence they are using such words. We hope EC will take action against this anti-national act."
