Karnataka Polls: PM Modi Begins 26 Km Roadshow In Bengaluru, To Address Public Meetings

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has begun his roadshow in Bengaluru, ahead of the Karnataka elections and is scheduled to address two public meetings.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has begun his roadshow in Bengaluru, ahead of the Karnataka elections, and is scheduled to address two public meetings today one in Badami at 3 pm and another In Haveri at 5 pm. PM Modi is doing electrifying campaigning for the ruling BJP in the state. Notably, Karnataka will go to polls next week on May 10 while the counting of votes will take place on May 13.

The Prime Minister will again hold a roadshow, smaller than the one on Saturday, which will be around 6 km long in Bengaluru on Sunday from Kempegowda Statue, New Tippasandra to Trinity Circle, MG Road. It was earlier planned to be a 10-Km long roadshow but taking the interest of students who will be appearing in the exam on May 7, the distance has been reduced. 

On Sunday, the Prime Minister will also offer prayers at Nanjanagudu Shri Srikanteshwara Swami Temple in Karnataka at around 6 pm.

'Congress Has Become Slave Of Appeasement, Vote Bank Politics'

PM Modi In Tumakuru On Friday, Prime Minister Modi slammed Congress and stated that the grand old party has become a "slave of appeasement, and vote bank politics," news agency ANI reported. During the Karnataka election rally in Tumakuru, PM Modi began his public address by chanting "Bajrang Bali Ki Jai." "Congress has a problem with chanting 'Jai Bajrang Bali' also," PM Modi stated, PTI reported. Speaking at a public meeting in Tumakuru, PM Modi stated: "Congress is becoming a slave of appeasement, and its vote bank politics. Such Congress can never benefit the people of Karnataka. Such Congress can never develop Karnataka."
