Haryana Election Results: 13 Woman Candidates Win 2024 Polls, Highest From Congress

Five women candidates from the BJP and seven from the Congress won in the state. Independent candidate Savitri Jindal won the Hisar assembly seat.

Thirteen woman MLAs have been elected to the 90-member Haryana assembly in 2024 assembly polls against eight women legislators in 2019, the Election Commission data showed.

A total of 1,031 candidates, including 464 Independents and 101 women, were in the fray for the Assembly elections in Haryana. Five women candidates from the BJP and seven from the Congress won in the state.

Independent candidate Savitri Jindal won the Hisar assembly seat against Congress' Ram Niwas Rara by a margin of 18,941 votes. Jindal is the mother of BJP's Kurukshetra MP and industrialist Naveen Jindal.

BJP nominee Arti Singh Rao, who is the daughter of Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh, won the Ateli seat against BSP's Attar Lal. BJP nominee Shakti Rani Sharma won the Kalka seat while Krishna Gahlawat won the Rai assembly segment.

BJP nominee Shruti Choudhary, who is the daughter of BJP MP Kiran Choudhary, won the Tosham seat, while party candidate Arti Singh Ran who is the daughter of Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh, won the Ateli seat.

Kiran Choudhary, the daughter-in-law of former Haryana chief minister Bansi Lal, switched from the Congress to the BJP in June this year. BJP's Bimla Chaudhary won the Pataudi assembly seat.

Among the Congress candidates, wrestler Vinesh Phogat won the Julana assembly segment while former minister and Congress nominee Geeta Bhukkal retained the Jhajjar seat.

Congress candidates Induraj Singh Narwal won the Baroda seat with 54,462 votes against Independent candidate Kapoor Singh Narwal.

Meanwhile, Congress candidate Geeta Bhukkal won the Jhajjar seat against BJP's Kaptan Birdhana by a margin of 13,555 votes.

Shalley Chaudhary won the Naraingarh seat while Shakuntla Khatak won the Kalanaur seat. Khatak won the seat against BJP's Renu Dabla by a margin of 12,232. 

Pooja won the Mulana assembly segment against BJP's Santosh Chauhan Sarwan, while Renu Bala won the Sadhaura seat. Congress nominee Manu Choudhry won the Nangal Chaudhary seat.
