The campaigning for the second phase of polls ended on Saturday, with three key competing parties BJP, Congress, and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) holding rallies, public meetings, roadshows, and door-to-door campaigning.

While Prime Minister Narendra Modi held massive roadshows in Ahmedabad on December 1 and 2, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other senior party leaders also held public meetings across the state.

The BJP has decided to go retain Bhupendra Patel as its chief ministerial candidate and the AAP has decided that Isudan Gadhvi would be the CM if the party won the polls. The Congress has decided not to name a CM face.
