Goa Election Results 2022: BJP will take the help of MGP & Independent candidates to form a government in Goa, as per CM Pramod Sawant.

Goa Election Results 2022: Goa's chief minister Pramod Sawant said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will form a government in the state with the help of the Maharashtravadi Gomantak Party (MGP) and some Independent candidates.

BJP, despite being the single-largest party fell short in touching the majority mark. As per the latest data, BJP won 18 seats, while Congress won 12 seats in Goa Election 2022.

After winning his seat by a close margin of 500 votes, CM Pramod Sawant interacted with the media where he said that the BJP will form the government in Goa. He also thanked his party workers for his victory. Sawant said, "Despite me not able to campaign in my own constituency, the party workers worked hard and ensured this victory for me."

The MGP has won three seats in this election whereas three seats have been won by Independent candidates. BJP will take the help of these candidates to form a government in Goa, as per CM Pramod Sawant.

Goa's picture became clearer when Congress' Michael Lobo said that they will be the opposition party in Goa. "We had thought that we will win but we have to accept the people's mandate. We have got 12 seats, BJP has got 18 seats. We will work strongly as the opposition. Congress will have to work hard to win the confidence of confidence," said Congress leader Michael Lobo.
