'Congress Has Allied With BJP For Delhi Elections, Must Be Expelled From INDIA Bloc': AAP

The Congress and AAP are feuding ahead of the Delhi elections, with the AAP accusing the Congress of colluding with the BJP and demanding its expulsion from the INDIA bloc.

The INDIA bloc lies in tatters in Delhi. The Congress and Aam Aadmi Party had earlier decided to not fight the Delhi elections in alliance. While the two parties did not ally for the Haryana elections either, they were relatively cordial. However, the two parties are up in arms against each other ahead of the Delhi Elections.

In Delhi, the Congress and AAP are fighting just as the Congress fights the BJP in other states. The continuous attack on AAP by Congress leaders has prompted the AAP to allege that the party may have reached a tacit understanding with the BJP.

The AAP has now demanded that the Congress be removed from the INDIA bloc if it did not discipline its leaders in Delhi. AAP MP Sanjay Singh said: "Yesterday, crossing the limits, he called Arvind Kejriwal anti-national. Till date, Ajay Maken has not called any BJP leader 'anti-national'. Congress must take action against Ajay Maken for calling Arvind Kejriwal 'anti-national'. Otherwise, we shall approach our INDIA partners to expel Congress from the alliance."

Chief Minister of Delhi Atishi said: "We have come to know from official sources that the BJP is funding Congress candidates. Prominent among them are Sandeep Dixit and Farhad Suri, who are getting crores of rupees from the BJP."

Referring to a police complaint registered by Maken against Kejriwal and her, Atishi said: "If they think that we are anti-national, why did they contest Lok Sabha elections in alliance with us? Why did they make Kejriwal campaign for them?"

She further alleged that Congress has conspired to defeat the AAP and make the BJP win. "If this is not so, Congress should take action against Ajay Maken within 24 hours and discipline the Youth Congress filed FIR against Arvind Kejriwal and me," she said

Referring to Sandeep Dixit's allegation of spying on him by the Punjab Police, Atishi said that he was only reading the "BJP's script".

"In Delhi, the Congress is standing in support of the BJP and is doing everything that benefits the BJP in the elections. Ajay Maken reads the BJP's script and gives statements against the AAP on their instructions.  We stand with the Congress on every issue in the Parliament," said Sanjay Singh.

"We tried to form an alliance in Haryana. When that did not happen, we fought the elections alone, but no one from our party spoke a single word against the Congress . If you look at the list of Congress members, it seems that it is coming from the BJP office," he said.
