Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra Paused In MP As Rahul To Join RJD Rally In Patna

Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra was halted in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday as the Congress leader will join RJD's rally in Bihar today.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra was paused for today after the leader interacted with the Agniveers and ex-servicemen in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior city. The march was halted as the Congress MP is stated to join theRashtriya Janata Dal's Jan Vishwas rally in Patna.

Congress MP Jairam Ramesh said that there has been a change in the schedule as Rahul Gandhi had to attend the opposition rally in Patna due to which he will depart from MP at 11:30 pm after the roadshow in Mohna. However, the yatra will continue as scheduled from tomorrow in Shivpuri, he added.

He added that Mallikarjun Kharge will also be a part of the rally along with Rahul Gandhi. "Tejashwi Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav, the Congress president, and Rahul Ji will all be present. It can be said that this is a massive rally, essentially an Indian rally," Jairam Ramesh stated.

He said, "This will be an INDIA rally... INDIA alliance is strong. Talks on seat sharing are going in a positive direction with NCP (SCP), AAP, and DMK. We have even declared our candidates in UP. Jayant Chaudhary's RLD is not the original Lok Dal. The real LD is with us... Talks with Mamata Banerjee are on and off. We are still trying to find a way."

As per the schedule, the yatra will traverse various districts in Madhya Pradesh including Shivpuri, Guna, Rajgarh, Shajapur, Ujjain, Dhar, and Ratlam.

The yatra resumed from Rajkhera bypass in Rajasthan's Dholpur on Saturday afternoon after which a flag handover ceremony was held at Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Stadium in Morena, Madhya Pradesh.

Thereafter, Rahul started a padyatra from Char Shahar ka naka road in Gwalior city, which was concluded at the Hazira Chauraha followed by a public address.

Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra was started by Rahul Gandhi to highlight the message of 'nyay' (justice) while traversing 6,700 kilometres through 15 states and meeting common people along the way. The yatra began in Manipur on January 14 and will likely end in Mumbai around March 20.
