Assam: AAP Announces 3 Candidates For Lok Sabha Elections

The AAP on Thursday declared its three Lok Sabha candidates in Assam.

The Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday declared its three Lok Sabha candidates in Assam. AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak unveiled the names of the candidates - Bhaben Choudhury from Guwahati, Manoj Dhanwar from Dibrugarh, and Rishi Raj from Sonitpur.

While announcing the names of the candidates, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak said that discussions were held with the Congress regarding seat allocation in the northeastern state.

The delay in seat sharing has sparked tension between Congress and the AAP. Pathak said that a proposal for seat sharing in Assam was also put forth. The AAP MP said that If the grand old party wants to win the Lok Sabha elections, which are slated to take place in April–May this year, then the decision on seat sharing should be made on time.
