Arvind Kejriwal Election Result: Arvind Kejriwal has lost the New Delhi constituency to the BJP's Parvesh Verma by a slim margin.

Arvind Kejriwal Election Result: The New Delhi assembly constituency has slipped out of former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's hands. He lost the election by a slim margin.

The primary reason why Kejriwal lost the election seems to be the corruption allegations, none of which have been proved, levelled by the BJP. Top leaders like Satyendar Jain, Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, as well as Kejriwal were jailed in various money laundering cases.

Kejriwal's late-night arrest and incarceration for several months hit the party hard as he was unavailable for campaigning. Moreover, the BJP time and again accused him of masterminding the alleged scam.

Some other reasons for his loss could be Kejriwal's failure to clean the Yamuna, fixing roads, cleaning up localities, and constant war with the Centre and Lieutenant Governor.
